1. Shorts for martial arts
2. Male competitors fight without T-shirts, female competitors fight in T-

4. Necessary pads:
a head-guard covering the top of the head,
mouth guard,
suspensory (a must for men and boys, recommended for women),
breast guard (for women),
foot protectors covering the heel and toes and shin guards or shin guards
with connected foot protectors with open heel,
boxing gloves 10 oz.

2. Juniors 16-18 years lod
3. Seniors 18, +18 years old (an 18-year-old can compete in Juniors and
Seniors)
Par. 7. Fight time
1. 3 rounds x 1,5 minute
2. Break 0,5 minute
3. Extra round 1 x 1,5 minute
Par. 8. Fighting rules
The fight is fought in full contact
1. In the first round the competitors fight using only punches, in the
second - punches and kicks above the waist, in the third - punches, kicks
above the waist and low kicks
2. The fight is guided by the tatami referee
3. Three technical referees count the points
4. Competitors may only touch the tatami with their feet, otherwise the
fight is stopped.
5. The points are counted throughout the fight.
6. The points after which the fighter fell down because of his own fault are
not added
7. A competitor must look at the opponent while he's hitting or kicking.
8. The competitor with more points at the end of the fight wins.
9. In case of a draw in points a referee may decide on the win basing his
decision on the fighting style of a competitor or he may decide on a draw.
10. In case of a draw, an extra round is decided, fought according to the
rules of the third round.
14. You can't push out your opponent or "push-punch" instead of puching.
15. The referee may put a penalty on a competitor who fights not according
to the rules or if the competitor, his coach or fans are acting non-fairplay.
16. The referee may reprimand a competitor during the fight.
17. The referee may put a penalty on a competitor by: giving a reprimand,
deducting 1 point after the second warning, deducting 1 point after the third
warning, disqualifying.
18. The head referee may consult the rest of the referees in case of
controversial or unclear situations.
19. Referee's commands: Fight (to start fighting), Stop (to stop fighting),
Time start (to start counting down the time), Time stop (to stop the
countdown), Let go (when the fighters are clinching or holding each other)
20. During the fight a competitor may have 2 coaches maximum.
Par. 9. Legal techniques
1. All hits punched with the front or top part of the gloves (no spinning
punches)
2. All kicks with any part of the foot.
3. Low-kicks on the thigh
4. Blocks and parry (no grabing of the opponent's limbs)
Par. 10. Legal hitting surfaces
1. The outer part of the glove
2. Whole foot surface (apart from the thigh which can be hit only with the top
part of the foot, front and side kicks on the thigh are forbidden)
3. Shins when you kick on the thighs
Par. 11.Doping
All kinds of doping are illegal, both in case of a competitor or a coach
Par.12. The understanding of the regulations
In case of any unclear or non-understandable rules, the competitors and the
coaches have the responsibility to consult the head referee for the safety of
the competitors.
Par.13. Referees' interventions
Referees may intervene in any case of rules', fair-play or safety violation
throughout the tournament.
Par.14. Rules' changes
The regulations may be changed because of the organisation reasons,
competitors' safety or others.
Par.15. Tournament and the martial arts grades
During the UFR competitions a competitor may take part regardless of his
grade. Because different martial arts have different criteria as to how you
can achieve a certain grade, we cannot take them as the equivalent of a
fighter's skills. The coach is responsible for the fighter's skills and readiness
for the safe competition.
